reflecting on another successful year
We’ve already made our digital predictions for 2016 to kick-start the year, but we couldn’t resist the urge to look back and reminisce about 2015. Rather than focus on the projects we worked on, we thought we’d recap on our 2015 highlights.
Events & entertainment
Aside from our regular Uprise nights out, we also participated in a fair share of events last year. Conferences like IntroBiz allowed us to meet some great new clients whilst Brighton SEO helped us to cram some more SEO knowledge into our overflowing minds. We even kept it local and attended the occasional Design Stuff Cardiff event for good measure.
We also partnered up with Hugh James solicitors for the #UseItWisely seminar, highlighting the benefits of using social media for businesses whilst they explored the legal compliance issues that surround social media. It was a great event, if we do say so ourselves, and both presentations were well received by the businesses that attended.
We weren’t joking when we said #BringYourDogToWorkDay was a highlight of our year! We’re already hoping to welcome our canine colleagues back into the office in 2016, but until then we’ll just have to make do with reminiscing about that wonderful dog-filled day.
We were delighted to co-sponsor Sam Warburton’s #SW7Event. It was a great night with live performances from James Dean Bradfield and Sophie Evans as well as some insightful interviews with Sam and a few of the other Wales’ internationals. Aside from being a more-than enjoyable evening, the #SW7Event also raised £20,000 for two of Sam’s chosen charities, Velindre Cancer Centre and #StayStrongForOws.
The biggest moment of 2015 was our acquisition of web development and technology company, VSIthinking. 2016 will be our first full year as UpriseVSI and we couldn’t be more excited about the projects we’ve already got lined up for this year.
Whilst our Online Barketers may not have landed full-time positions in the office, we did welcome some other less furrier faces into the UpriseVSI family in 2015. Who knows, you could be the next face to join us in 2016 too if you take a lot at our current vacancies.
Best of the blogs
Finally, we also had some great blog articles published on our website. It’d be a little biased of us to select our favourite blog articles, but here are our 5 most-viewed articles of 2015:
- To be responsive or not
- Website design trends 2015
- Google’s mobile update
- Tidy Productions: A tidy project
- LinkedIn LowDown: How to make your personal profile effective
Last but certainly not least, we’d just like to say that it was a pleasure to continue working with our long-standing clients whilst building some new relationships along the way in 2015. We were fortunate enough to work on some exciting projects and websites, and we’re very excited about everything that lies ahead in 2016.
